Default White 997S gets Shark-a-fied with LWF & HRE Competition Wheels

This 2008 white 997S came into us completely stock and left with a whole host of track-ready goodies including the SharkWerks light-weight flywheel conversion, EVOMSit software, Tubi Exhaust, and a set of light-weight HRE Competition wheels.

The "classic" before shot as she arrives for surgery:

Up she goes to tackle the transmission and exhaust first:

Out comes the transmission to get access to the factory dual mass flywheel:

The single mass flywheel saves 14 pounds:

A close up of the heavy and quiet factory system before it gets replaced with the Tubi system:

Out comes the factory intake system:

In goes the free-flowing and better-sounding EVOMS V-Flow unit:

The ECU is benchflashed with the EVOMSit software calibrated for 91 octane:

Out comes the rear main center console in preparation for the B&M short shifter kit:

Installed:

The factory wheels before being replaced:

The HRE Competition C-93 wheels in brushed/clear finish:

In the rear:

And a close-up of the brushed/clear finish on the centers:

Ready to leave:

Gorgeous! Would you mind sharing the price tag for this "minor upgrade"?

I know the XRR factory wheels are heavier, but they look better than the HRE wheels, IMO. But, as long as the owner likes them, that's all that matters.

Nice setup, however, to me the stock wheels actually look nicer!

PS. Oh and where's the Tubi?

What lug nuts are those?

Car needs to be driven harder the factory bin stickers are still on the inside of the caliper!

Nice work...as always!

HRE sends steel lug bolts, they were really heavy and still had to use factory locks so i never used em.. if u want em lemme know... they have the bearing spacer piece and everything, just REALLY heavy.

Sure thing... roughly, software is 1K, intake $595, Tubi is $2450. Took about 2.5 hours to put those on. LWF is 1K and about 7 hours to do.

Aye the factory ones are one of the better ones they make.

Thank you sir... We always use a new release bearing (so worth changing out...) and the car's previous owner had abused the clutch a bit so the replacement disc was only $200 or so...

Very nice indeed! And once he figures out his driveway situation that's on the cards

tell em to go at an angle!.. its amazing how many people go straight or turn the wheel and say "it rubs!" my exige is 2" off the ground and the 997.2 wasn't much more than that and i've yet to see an incline i couldn't get up at the right angle...
