I am not sure if PSE exhaust tips are welded to the mufflers or not? I know it's different than stock (being true dual vs. fake dual in stock), but am not sure if the tips are welded or can be replaced/changed?

Not welded. Held on by a set-screw.

Thanks, you were talking about 997.1, right (checking since you got 997.2)?

Yes. On my 2006 with Sport Exhaust, the tips were adjustable, removable, and held on by a set-screw.

Removed tips for powder coating on a '07 C2S w/pse. Spray clamp bolt w/wd40 & remove it. Spread clamp, shake tip loose & remove.

So the PSE is a true Dual?

Yes. Both the 997.1 and 997.2 versions, which are different systems, are true 4-outlet set-ups.
