I'm trying to get these for a friend. Knowing Dan probably took great care of these, its a great deal. I believe these are the Carrera IIIs-the lightest OEMs for the 997. The set weighs about 84lbs.

Cheers

Would these 18" Carrera IIIs (or any 18" wheel) fit the 997 "S" due to the larger brake disc size?

Is the rolling circumference also the same as the factory 19" rim?

Thanks

18" stock rims in 8" front 10" rear will not fit on PCCB ceramic brakes.
CCW wheels do fit. there is a third alternative now for total custom 18" wheels in 9" front 12" rear - about of $1600 shipped for a set:

but they are cast wheels, not forged like CCW.

How about 18" stock rims on a regular 997 S with non-PCCB brakes? Could those fit the S's larger brake disk and caliber?

Thanks again

Dan-thought you had PCCB and ran these w/o any issues.

Not only do the 18s fit the 997S with the larger calipers, but they also clear the PCCBs which are even larger. (See earlier photo of them on my car with the PCCBs). The 18s were always a snow tire option for 997S owners because some of the larger 19s (like my Carrera Sports in 8.5 and 11.5 widths) cannot handle a set of cable chains in the rear--just too close a fitment.

I don't have any idea what utkinpol is referring to--unless it's an aftermarket 18.

One final note on the 18s (Carrera IIIs) is that they are certainly one of the easiest wheels to keep clean, as well as to touch up. Being a painted wheel, there isn't much to refinishing them.

Dan do you know if they will fit a 09 C4 with PCCB?

They will fit, but the offset is different. Sometimes that can be made up with the 17mm spacers on the rear. (Front offset is the same). Clearing the PCCBs is not an issue.

I found that the ride around town to be a bit stiff so they dropped the pressures to 29 and 33. Very happy with the results-09C4s Cab.
