Default 997.2 to continue for another year as 2012 model

Heard this from a P dealer in Dallas today. Does that sound correct? Specifically, that the 997.2 Carrera S will be available for order per usual as a 2012 model (apart from the limited 1911 Black Editions which are coming)? If so, that's great - the bigger/Banglesque 991 with the generic Panamera interior center console is not doing it for me at all. Would love to have one of the last 997.2s as a '12 model.

I am praying that GT3 production continues for one more year like it did with the 996 GT3 and Turbo.

Local dealer says GT3 cannot be ordered anymore... Don't know if it's true or not ?

If the OP statement is reality, I consider that a prayer of mine answered. Truly. Now if they would just reinstate Arctic Silver and Midnight Blue...

That is true. I was planning on a special order GT3, but I waited too long. If they extend GT3 production, I'm good.

Dang, this sucks. I'm worried that the 997 GT3 will become a collector's car and therefore never become cheap enough for me.

I am confident the price will dip into the $70K range when the 991 comes out. That'll be the time to buy used.

I am thinking the exact same thing.
The more 997.2 GT3's they make, the more selection I will have on the orthodontist-used market.
