Hello all,
Just yesterday I picked my my new Carrera S it's a 2010 and got a good deal on it brand new=)
This has probably been asked 100 times but I couldn't find a post on it.
My sales rep told me that the rear spoiler should extend at 80 KMH but on my way home my father behind me didn't see the spoiler go up and I was doing around 100 KMH.
I saw the manual that said that it also depends ont he temperature of the engine compartment. If it's hot it will raise at 80 KMH if not at 120 KMH.
I found few posts online saying that the US or Euro version are different then the Canadians ones? and it will raise at 80 mh in canada. Any truth to this?
I find this hard to believe. Also I find it weird that my sales rep doesn't know this.
Just want to make sure it is working.
Thanks in advanced and sorry for my spelling english is my second language.

For the US, the spoiler lifts at about 75 mph ( about 120 kph) and it retracts at different speeds depending on the the engine compartment temperature...perhaps +/-40 mph?

At many car dealerships it seems that any knowledge about cars is totally not a requirement to be a salesman. I have dealt with car salesmen who couldn't answer basic questions about the cars they sell (although the guy at the Porsche dealer who sold me my 911 was very good).

Just a heads up. There are cases out there of authorities reviewing Youtube to find laws being broken. If a spoiler doesn't raise until you hit 75, there are very few places that you'd want it to actually raise up. Certainly not on a suburban thoroughfare. Just sayin'.
