Default New H&R Springs Installed

I finally got my H&R springs installed by my shop in Tampa. All I can say is "Wow!" I wasn't really sure if I would like them but after the drive home last night it feels much better. The H&Rs seem to control the struts better then the stock springs. I did one DE with the suspension completely stock and it did have a little more roll then I would like and some lag on steadying the car in corner changes. I think that these springs should solve that little issue. The car is a little lower so if anyone is worried that the car will be dragging the ground, no worries.

Default Mine settled too low..

It's all personal taste, but after a few weeks my H&R's that I had installed on my 06 997 settled quite a bit to the point that they are too low for me (defined as 25.5" from road to wheel fender).

I also am unhappy with the handling, all to the point that I am considering either Bilstein HD or Sports Shocks all round with ROW Springs.

All subjective I suppose, but the H&R Springs alone on stock suspension is not my cup of tea.

I have an S with Sport Chrono so maybe these match up better with the stiffer sport mode. I will go back and get lap times with the springs installed so if the times drop then mission accomplished. If I want smooth riding I'll drive my wife's Acura. I daily drive a F350 turbo diesel 4X4 so I'm use to a firm ride

I'm not too far from you, would you mind sharing the name of your Tampa shop? Are they only suspension, or "full service"? Porsche only? Thanks!

Subscribed for pics and more review (track times, etc)

Sport Springs are not everyone's "cup of tea" so I am very interested to get your thoughts on them as well.

Default A better Cuppa...

I'm going with Coilovers. Can't quite decide between H&R, Bilstein PSS9/10 or the KW V3.

All three have progressive spring rates if my memory serves me correctly. (Some KW units have set spring rates) The H&R will not have dampening adjust-ability.

The KW Variant 3 has individually adjustable compression and rebound, vs the PSS9 which is a dual purpose single ****.

If it is a daily driver with occasional track use I would stay close to the Bilstein and KW units. KW unit might require more attention as you adjust compression and rebound dampening separately, as the Bilstein is not as complicated with a single **** adjustment.

PM me if you want more details for your specific application- I speak in more generalities in this post.
