where to buy a short shift kit
I have a 2008 997 S and want to get a short shift kit. Where did you guys get yours, or is there somewhere you recommend? Any input is appreciated. I do reside in the Santa Clarita (30 min north of L.A. ) is there anywhere that would install it as well?
Also, does it feel like the GT3 shift mechanism? Thanks.

I highly recommend the short shifter.
That being said, when it is cold, it is a bear to shift through first,
second, and sometimes third gear. You really have to learn the
technique of using the short shifter when cold.

I have the B&M shifter which I got from Bumperplugs.com. I like it. Shifter throws are significantly shorter than stock, especially noticeable in 2nd, 4th, and 6th. I don't have any problem with cold weather, except that it takes a bit more effort to engage 1st when its really cold and then only until it warms up.
