Thanks for the responses. I replaced the rears from the dealership rather than deal with the hassles of ordering and having to make another trip back. I don't know for sure if he matched TR's pricing but they knocked off about $150 so that it was competetive...close enough to not mess with the ordering, shipping, waiting, etc..
Nevertheless, I'm still blown away by the fact that I tore through these in only 10,000 miles, especially because at least 2/3 of the miles are commuting - a straight shot down I-25. But on the other side of the equation, there are some fairly deserted twisties around here where I run it pretty hard, as well as the fact that I like to keep them pretty firm. This is not a hobby for the frugal.

Selo, seriously get a good alignment and watch out for too much toe in the rear...that is what scrubs the rubber off the tires.

Alignment with new tires is recommended. 10,000 miles is pretty average on a 911.
