Only 16 inches outside my door, but here is how my car sits for most of the winter, plus my building is heated. NO way this thing is going through 16 inches of snow even with snow tires.



This is my winter mobile. Sits way higher than my 997S, weighs a heck more at well over 7,000lbs, and with that Cummins motor I helped pull out several stranded motorists that were stuck in the mountains of snow yesterday. Just can't do that kind of stuff in a 997

That's a really nice truck! BUT even that would not get you through this snow on my cul de sac. The lowest height of the snow in the road is 3-4 ft. Had my P car been left in the driveway, I wouldn't have been able to find it.

All I can say is THANK GOD for global warming or climate change. I don't think it would be much fun driving in North America if it was still covered with glaciers!

reminds me of when I was caught in a surprise blizzard a few years ago and limped home for two hours. I was definitely pushing my luck to be driving a distance in early March, but hey – the roads were dry when I left :-). PS2s and RWD are ridiculously inadequate for any snow, as I learned. Right now she's in the garage, safely covered and trickle-juiced, waiting for spring...

I went to my friends house this morning in Howell, they got 27inches. His street was not plowed out and even though the snow was up to the bumper my truck went threw it with no problem. I'm assuming when you say your street in Brick got 3 to 4feet of snow you mean with snow drifts. I only say this because the National Weather Service has numbers showing Elizabeth, NJ with the greatest snow fall amount in the state at 31.8 inches. Either way it was one heck of a storm.

Wow since I live in the area of the country that may get one snow of a couple inches of year. That looks like fun. Well maybe for a few days but how does any construction work get done from Dec till March if I had to shovel snow to get to work I would move. Seriously how or why does such a large population live in the North. I realize you don't have to endure the 100+ days in summer but we have air conditioners to keep us cool we don't have to shovel lava to get to work.

Reminds me of comic Sam Kin. Talking about Ethiopia in the early 80's when feed the world was popular We have deserts too no one lives there. Move To me global warming would be a good thing!!!!!!!!!

Why do we want to live in the North. Lets find 10 good reasons why living in the NY Metro area is a good thing.

(10) It snows maybe half a dozen times a winter. It is enjoyable for a change
(9) Easy access to NYC
(8) Great job opportunities
(7) The center of the financial markets
(6) Great restaurants
(5) Broadway
(4) Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, etc.
(3) My name is not Bubba nor anyone in my family
(2) We have all our teeth
(1) Because......no one wants to live in TN.

Just having some fun.

Im not sure if you are joking or not, but assuming you are serious..

Sampling one event doesnt prove anything, however if you sample over a longer rate and look at something that is easily measurable over a greater surface area, say rising ocean levels or amount of ice on at polar caps, global warming is clearly happening.

seems like it still helps them to sell new extra expensive light bulbs.
no matter what they sell, it is all sales motivated, no matter if it`s 'warming' or a 'new mini-ice age'.
