Would that include a fresh brake flush?

Pretty much my feelings exactly. Except... I have to say the styling on the Cayman leaves me cold. The Boxster is a very nice roadster in every classic sense, but the Cayman looks like somebody stepped on the rear deck. Just my impression of course.

Lastly, I wish our 911s were more Cayman-sized.
For me it's not a matter of low regard but a matter of space. I haven't been in a Cayman yet but I had Boxster loaners several times from the dealership and I just don't fit in them. Great fun to drive but I'm 6'3" and no matter how I adjust everything, I'm nowhere near the driving position I'm used to and comfortable with in the 997.

I think you're seeing this development strategy right now. Next 911 is bigger, more luxuriously appointed and what did Porsche show in LA? Cayman R with more power and sporting focus. You'll see Carrera developed to fight Aston, BMW, etc... and Cayman evolve into what the 911 once was.

That said you can count on GT3 and RS variants to be hardcore in order to satisfy the lucrative enthusiast market as well.

1. I bet they own none of them,I know it's their job.
2. The others are too small,Carrera has ALT more space.

Is there a pool yet for the year the 911 4-door sedan is released? Something like the RX-8 might be appropriate. They already added four inches; a few more inches of legroom back there, and it might actually be reasonable for adults.

on racing forum people often discuss this, as I see it truth is somewhat in between, i just think that mid-engine car is simpler to manage for an average driver, rear engine car like 911 is capable of faster las but requires more than advanced driving skills.

one way or another I do not feel I need a different car or more power than my 3.6L M96 can produce. I reworked suspension, hopefully I will drop 200-250lbs of weight in next 2 seasons, lightened 997 car with cheap M96 engine is quite a fun thing to drive.

Or you could get a stripper C2.

Maybe she was having a bad day.

not true.
i spoke with several porsche factory drivers who are currently racing, yes the big names u see on tv. you be surprised how many of them would much rather drive a mid engined car.

that said, porsche continues to win. but look at the team, say ALMS. most non porsche teams do not have the experience of p car teams. how many years has lizard raced porsche, how many years has risi ran ferrari, patron ran farrari, rahal ran bmw? and porsche's margin of victory aint that big!

I had a 2004 Boxster S and I loved it. Great driving experience.

My wife thought it was a "girls" car. She drives a 2000 MB SLK230 so I guess she should know!

However, because of her attitude about the Boxster, it was easy for me to leverage the sale of my motorcycle and Boxster to a 2007 c4S cab. Now we are both happy and I'm trying to get her to upgrade to a Boxster.

If there is a moral to this it is the Boxster is a great car and I really love my wife!

If you REALLY loved your wife you would be trying to get her to upgrade to a 997.2 Cab!

Just kidding!

Nice thought but she thinks all 911 models ever made look alike. But then I don't know why she needs 300 purses.
