I, too, have real trouble getting in and out of my driveway (and I'm not selling the house, thank you) with my 996 Turbo. I'd buy a remote front axle lift kit, but I don't think they're available for the 996. Any advice?

I'm getting to the age where it's hard to get out of my Porsche. I refuse to sell the car. So I say, "Screw it!" I just roll out of the car and lay on the ground until a nice Samaritan comes by and helps me up.

Yes, you are truly reading a thread about lifting a 911. There are those who live in a home with a difficult driveway, and those persons would still like to take the 996 Turbo out for a spin from time to time.

If it helps, the diameter of the top of the spring is the same for 996 and 997. So small air bag lift kit that is sold for 997 should fit. I would contact seller. I wasn't in the position to shell out $4-5K for this mod. Hope you get it resolved and can update us later.
