Bummer!

Hopefully, your house key was not on the same fob. If so, I would be concerned and change the entryway lock-sets to your house (your address is on your license).

Fantastic! Any reason you had 2 keys in the car?

A good reason not to leave your keys in the car?

key number 1 was in my bag. i carry it around because i have two houses. i keep the pcar in the other house. the car that got broken into was not the p-car. it was another car. hehehe sorry for not being too clear. some people got confused. i carry the key number 1 with me always just in case i get the urge to drive all of a sudden, i dont have to go home to get the keys... house number 2 is near my office. Key number 2 is always in house number 1 and key 1 is always with me... hope adias does not suggest to keep key 1 in house one and key 2 in house 2 so i do not get confused....hahaha im teasing you adias.

a better solution would be to get house number 3 in between house number 2 and house number 1 so you you could keep said porsche readily available with key number 1. Or perhaps get porsche number 2 to keep at house number 2 and then youd have a porsche number 1 at house number 1 and porsche number 2 at ghouse number 2. Unless you drove porsche number 1 to house number 2 then you'd have porsche number 1 and porsche number 2 at house number 2. etc etc

That is a most excellent suggestion.

There is one another way to save your money for making duplicates from the Locksmith. Have a spare key and let it somewhere in your home so that in emergency you will be able to take that key open the car door lock in case of keys get stolen.

That solution will only get you into the car but unless you have a programmed transponder chip in the remote head of this new key, the car won't start.
