Default Is anyone using Ipad here?

I just updated my Ipad to OS 4.2 and everything is much slower here in rennlist and I can't see the network activity monitor which is beside the wifi signal. Is it me or is anyone else experiencing this?

Kidding aside, no idea... load perfectly fine on my laptop (Win 7)!

No problems here...try resetting the device...call Apple if that doesn't fix the problem.

Oh please. After 10+ years of windows/microsoft I got fed up and went to Mac 5 years ago, and I'll never look back. Zero crashes, zero OS problems.

That was sarcasm meant to parody the oft repeated phrase when someone complains about windows software.

In reality I don't give a flying f*** what operating system anybody uses.

Could someone please tell me how to stop the screen from flipping from vertical to horizontal now that the slide/toggle switch has become the Mute button? Even a URL on how to accomplish this would be appreciated. I haven't yet figured how to access Multi-tasking so if you tell me to go there, it won't help me.
I used Windows PCs all my life, ran a 75 user Novell LAN. Bought my first Mac a year ago. Now own 2 iMacs, a Macbook Pro, iPad, the new 11" Macbook Air, iTouch, etc. I keep one Windows PC because it actually runs some software pretty good BUT Macs are MUCH better machines!

Haven't upgraded yet. But I use my iPad to post all the time. Great device especially with unlimited: 3G.

Please keep us posted.

To answer the OP's question, the iPad runs perfectly after the OS upgrade. If anything, it's faster.

To answer yours - double tap the home button. The multitasking bar will pop up. You'll see the apps running in the background any you can choose which one to access. To kill an app, touch an hold the icons and you can choose which ones to kill. For the screen lock, swipe across the multitasking bar. A second menu will appear inducing audio, screen and screen lock controls.
