No idea what that is, but it sure is ugly. I like the concept, but man does the design department need to go back the the drawing board.

Pretty sure you are confusing their design department with some journa-artist's imaginings.

"When we are convinced about the project, we will be ready to show it" said Müller.

Tells me that no one has really seen it and that it is not a go yet. Faux News. Not to be confused with Fuchs News.

Seems to me it's more a question of when, not if. When they are convinced the time is right, they will pull the trigger.

This sort of thing annoys me. First the VW Cayenne now this? Ties up the mechanics from working on real Porsches!

Most trash a new car like this but I kinda like it. Styling is fresh and modern, should be sporty and fun to drive. I bet it will be like a Miata only more power and better handling. Not sure I would get one but I hope they build it.

The picture looks like a little car coming out of a bigger one, like a snake shedding its skin...

By the way, another article says that the car will actually be based on an Audi engine and platform that will be shared with an Audi branded car.

This morning I was, once again, thinking about how big cars continue to get. If all cars continue to get bigger, then at one point, we need to start introducing smaller cars. Take the BMW 3 series for instance. The 3 series from 4 generations ago looks like a baby next to the latest gen. I think the current 1 series is even bigger than the old 3 series!

the 4 cyl engines are approved for production development - the Blue sport chassis is "extendable" and flexable enough for mid and rear engine architecture.
the styling seen here and else where is complelty speculation and not porsche.

we might get something good out of this yet.
at least i am hopeful

I do support Porsche venturing out to new segments to ensure the brand can survive financially and fund racing and sports car R&D. HOWEVER, at some point one should say, enough is enough! It's absolutely getting out of control. We already have Boxster, and this looks very much like a smaller Boxster and just gotto dillute Porsche brand further!

It however might be due to EPA and stupid regulations that affects smaller sports car companies!

This looks like a Toyota MR2 to me...

Since that is out of production, maybe this one will have some legs. Still, it does not seem like it is worth the effort of Porsche. Time will tell.
