I'm looking for a book like this one for my 05 997. Doesn't look likely there will be one so far. Written by Streather, this book got good reviews. Is the 05 997 redesign that much different besides cosmetic that this book would not be sufficient for under-the-skin maintenance, info and tips. The 05 997 engine is an M96 like the 996 and I'm assuming a lot of shared parts and procedures. However I don't want a book that will have minimal use or frustrating misdirection. Opinions/experience/other options appreciated!

If you have a 05 997 (not S) then the engine is practically the same. However, the 997 got called the 997 for a reason because Porsche felt enough changes were made to roll the part numbers to 997. The suspension, for example, is considerably different, as well as all of the interior fittings.
Some of us have maintenance books on the 997. They're not impossible to find.
