Default Lip spoiler spoiled my day !

Installed a front lip spoiler on my 997.2 yesterday and enjoyed a nice final drive before hibernation. Went out to the garage today and was shocked to find a puddle of washer fluid under the front bumper of my car !! Removed the spoiler and found a drip of fluid coming from one of the mounting holes I drilled for the spoiler...must have nicked a washer fluid line. So now, I assume I have to remove my front bumper to get at the line so I can replace it...what a PITA !!

Just did a search for bumper removal DIY and couldn't find anything on 2nd gen. cars, only gen. 1. Anyone come across one ?

My heart goes out to you! Ouch.
I haven't taken off my front bumper but I'm guessing Edgy01 or Carrera Mike have a DIY somewhere on it.

These D'Oh moments can be brutal. I once ran over my own sunroof in the paddock (lonnnnng time ago). Just trying to make you feel better!!!!

I pulled up next to my Bimmer in my garage and thought to myself, "Now be careful you don't put a door ding in it." I opened the door and slammed it into the Bimmer door. My point: one of those inexplicable head banging mysteries of the universe, Sort of like the incomprehensibly low probability of you drilling your washer tubing: but you did drill it!

Oh well. Like summiting a five foot high Everest: we survived!

The process by which to remove a 997.2 front end can't be radically diff. than a 997.1

You're probably right. One difference is the LED driving lights don't need to be removed as far as I can tell and I'm sure all the torx screw locations are similar. But I'd prefer to know exactly what i'm doing before I start...a little gun shy after the last DIY !
