Last I heard from Santa Barbara Auto Group (my dealer), my GTS was to be "completed" on the 23rd. That's all I know right now.
Why doesn't the factory have 24/7 webcams? Now that's an idea for Porsche!
How cool would it be to watch your car move through the assembly process?
I will see all the SBAG folks at the L.A. Auto Show on Friday. I'll bug 'em for new info then.

Today's the (birth)day, supposedly, but I haven't heard anything new.
My "Spidey Sense" tells me the car is done, proceeding to the port, and should be here in time for Christmas Eve delivery!
Wait. Nope. I'm awake now. Still haven't heard anything new.

Received this update from Santa Barbara Auto Group this morning:

John,
The status was updated for your 911 GTS Coupe.
It was “born” on Thanksgiving and should be assigned a ship shortly…here is your VIN.

So, the car has been completed and I have a VIN. How fast are those car-carrier ships, again?

Congrats! Hopefully mine is not far behind.

I have done some thinking on why mine might not be the first built even if it is potentially the first ordered. Mine had the same build date as my original C2S order, and so I'm wondering if the just swapped allocation slots. They were obviously able to start turning them out before 12/1, but Hennessy was sold out through 12/1 so maybe the GTS allocations were instead of other allocation slots rather than in addition to other allocations.

Just speculation. Call them and tell them to book a fast ship!

Default I hope those guys row really, really fast.

As of today, my GTS has been updated to "on vessel." It's on the boat!
I should have the name of the ship shortly, and will begin tracking its progress.

quick question for you guys - on gravedgr's much appreciated option sheets a few pages back, PDK is shown as a no-cost option. configurator on the porsche site options it with cost. is it no-cost, or costed?
