Instrument Dials

Silly question...
I'm getting ready to start the hunt for a new C2S. In doing some inventory searches, I seem to be able to find several choices of cars that would meet my Option requirements.
The one exception is Instrument Dials. I have a strong preference for Black over White. I know I can custom build one with Black as a no cost option. But just about all cars in inventory have White.
Does anyone know if this can be changed out at the dealer? Even if I incur some cost for this, it still would be worth it as I can probably get a much better deal on something on the lot as opposed to a custom build.

Very easy to change out (see attached). One electronic multipin connector. They just look like actual gauges. Gonna cost you though. Porsche service dept is like a high class call girl: there's a premium price for basically the same outcome.

i believe the dealer could swap to black, the cost might be very prohibitive tho, remember the no cost option is when swapped at factory.. for you to swap you would have to buy the new pieces and pay install.. i would assume 750-1k easy.

The "white" gauges are actually silver. I had the silver gauges on my 996 and liked them because during the day they looked white, but at night they appeared to be black because of the back-lighting of the dials. It was interesting to watch them change in appearance at dusk.

you can buy aftermarket dials from either FVD or cargraphic. The dials are around $1K. I installed the metric white dials from cargraphic when I imported my car into Canada from the US

I really like the Speed Yellow, currently I have silver/white which I want to replace. My car is all black with yellow seat belts and PCCB and that's the reason I want yellow dials. I've heard the needles have to be aligned properly or it will be off.

Used to be all S cars had silver gauge faces; all non-Ss had black.
But, you could order an S with black at N/C.
Some of the special edition cars, like the GTSs, have black gauges.
And, of course, you can get gauge faces in just about any color you like...for a price.
I prefer the black. It's the way Porsche gauges always used to be.
