Default Exhaust tip question

I want to go from the stock tips on my C2 to the dual pipes that come stock on C2S. Is their an adaptor made to bring the ID size up for the tip of my C2 to fit the larger size of the C2S tip.

Default not that I am aware of

Your correct that the size is different, not aware of an adapter commonly used but believe any reputable custom exhaust house with have the coupling/adapter available or can easily make one up. No shop should charge more then 150$ to mount your new tips...even that a bit steap.

Mark, depending on what finish you were wanting, you can buy stainless steel Schnell tips from Vertex Auto (a Rennlist sponsor) for $249. They're a direct bolt-on that won't require going to a muffler shop. Here's the link:

You can use "Adapter set for OEM Tail Pipes 3.8S (2pc.) FVD 111 997 ADP" from http://fvd.de

I am not 100% sure about what adapters are needed but for sure I've seen C2S tips on C2 cars. Must be easy to mod.

Geez, I just ordered and installed what looks like the exact same ones but from Evolution Motorsports on Ebay. I paid $300. Interestingly, Fabspeed's look identical and are offered on their site for $550, Automotion has what looks like the same exact tips for $449 and Evo motor sports on Ebay will take an offer (which I did) or lists theirs for $349 I think. They all like identical. As far as fitting goes, mine came with 3 inner collars (open on one side to that they can be tightened) that bring the overall fit to the size needed. Just slide it own and tighten. Hope this helps and here's a pic.

Dartmouth,

Would love to see a picture. I bought OEM "S" tips from Sunset Porsche for about $218 plus the collar adaptor from FVD has me at about $290 all in. Initially I am more interested in a true factory tip albiet they are not chrome but I'm not a big chrome fan anyway.

I wanted a true factory S quad tip myself but settled for the ones you see on my avatar.
