bhvdr, actually all of the Bridgestone and Michelin N tires have 8-9/32 on the rear tire from what im seeing on tire rack. The front is higher though. You bring up a good point about tire pressure though, as some tires have stiffer sidewalls than others(ie continentals are much more compliant than Michelins) and may require tweaking.

Nspec
Pirelli Pzero 295/30/19 N2 is 10/32
Conti Sport Contact 3 295/30/19 N1 is 10/32
Bridgestone RE050A 295/30/19 N1 is 10/32
Michelin PS2 295/30/19 N2 is 8.5/32

The others are streetable competition tires like the PSC2 so tires like these will be 8/32 or less no matter what the spec like the PSC2 is 7/32 in NON n-spec.

But yeah I can see some in the 305 fitment are 9/32 or 8/32. Its a reasonable point you make and I can see that at the very least it again points to clear construction differences between N and non N spec tires of the exact same brand, model and "size" tire. Its definitely not "paying for the certification" and not even just porsche selecting tires that meet their specification. These are tires literally designed for the Porsche specifications.
