rocker panels install

Getting ready to install rocker panels on my car. Both ends are screwed in but the middle needs something. I have heard 3m tape will not hold. Anybody have any suggestions on how to make it stick? Thanks

If you drill into the body make sure you use plenty of body putty there to keep the rust to a minimum.
