I was just looking over the Navigation unit in my 07 911. I was wondering what the latest version is. I think mine says 10-2006 on the DVD envelope.
Is that the latest version? If not is the latest DVD expensive? Knowing Porsche it will probably cost me an arm and a leg to update.

I believe mine is the '09 DVD; I asked the dealer to throw in the latest DVD when I got mu car in April. There might be something newer now. Sorry, but I don't know the cost.

Believe it or not I was quoted $800.- (by Porsche) for the updated navigation disc.

That'll buy a lot of maps.....

It is absurd what Porsche, BMW and Mercedes charge for map updates. Its cheaper to buy a new Garmin every year, and even cheaper to just update their maps.

I just use the original disc in the car and my phone (with google maps and some other nav program) if I'm in an area that is not represented well.
