Default Another Bilstein Damptronic question.

I know it is height adjustable, but can it be adjusted manually by raising and lowering the spring perch on the shock when it is on the car?
Or should I pull it out to adjust its height?

Additionally, I'd like to know what is the best height setup with GT3 front bumper or with stock C2S bumper.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Everytime you adjust the height you will be effecting the corner balance and alignment settings.

Right. Since I haven't got any alignment or corner balance yet, it will be better to adjust the height now
Should I pull those coilovers out to adjust? Or simply I can adjust them when they are on the car?

It can be adjusted on the car with the suspension un-loaded. Not the Porsche approved way to measure but this height is a good sport setting. I think a little more rake is desirable than what shows in these photos. For street / track with this crude way of measuring approx 26 5/8 rear and 26 1/8 front pretty good. May want to go 26 1/4 -- 26 3/4 if worried about scraping etc.

Last photo shows how my 997 looked when I had them on my car.

996toomey, so you currently have approx 26 1/8 front and 26 5/8 rear?
By the way, your 997 looks great.

Yes that is where the 997 was set. Thank you on the car. I sold it Aug. 2009 here on Rennlist to another member and have a GT3 now. It was a great car!

Nice! I was wondering if your previous 997 C2S was lower than your current GT3.
Have you measured how low your GT3 is?

I have not measured my GT3. The pictures of the red GT3 were taken by MJones. That was his 997.1 GT3 at stock settings as delivered from Porsche.
