Question Speedster, yea or nea?

I must admit. I have not been a fan of latter day Speedsters since the 356.
But, the pics and specs of the '11 intrigue me.

What's your thoughts?

Have to see it in the flesh, but from the pics, I like the Boxster version (Spyder) better - it takes no imagination for me to think that car looks good - and the pricing is way more sensible.

At $204K, I don't care how it looks, at that price epic fail!

love the idea, don't like the execution and the price point puts it into the silly league for me.

It's not in the realm of reality. If you can plunk down $200K on what will be a lousy investment you only have to sit on it (and rarely drive it) for about 25 years to get perhaps 40% back from it.

This is exactly my thinking on this beast. It's fine for some buyers who can't think of enough ways to spend their never ending cash. If you think you're making a good investment move, think again!

I think it's fugly. I would MUCH prefer the GTS. The Speedster makes it look like a screaming deal.

I don't care for the looks at all and the price clinches it. If it were my money I'd be a lot more tempted by the GTS. Bottom line, though, the Boxster Spyder is the pick of the litter. It's leagues better than either of the two 911 special editions.

Buy a flawless 356 for that money (assuming you don't already have one). Classy, timeless, and (probably) a good investment to boot.

Fairly cool, but not crazy about it, and no way to justify it at that price point. Rather have a classic 356 Speedster that I could vintage race and would probably just continue to appreciate!

Nope. Too much for too little. Agree with comment on Boxster Spyder above.
