which is faster? e92 m3 or 997.1 c2s
hi guys as stated above i was just curious to know which car is faster between the new e92 m3 and the 997.1 carrera 2 s , also i saw top gear video review of an audi r8 vs c2s mk1 and the c2s was a little bit faster than the r8 is that possilbe? just curious because i just got the 2007 c2s a week ago and wanted to know how i stack up against those 2 cars, or if against both cars is a drivers race

the R8 is often compared to the TT. When compared to the C2S, most of the stuff i've seen is that the R8 is faster around a track, due to its mid engine placement and AWD. In a straight line the 2 are similar w/ the possibility of the C2S being marginally quicker.
There was a Car and Driver track time review where the m3 performed well.
If you are a #'s guy then consider the GT models.

the question should be defined further. Are you inquiring about on track performance? or on a red light to red light straight line? Tip or manual? PDK with launch control if its the street race? All these factors will significantly alter the answers you get.
Ultimately it boils down to the seat of the pants. Drive them both and decide which feels faster...

The E92 M3 beats all variants in straight line except the 997.2 PDK "S" Models.
i think if you were racing non S PDK 997.2 and 6speed M3 the PDK would win tho.
