i know dealers usually suck, but this one felt different.. all the numbers were fair for both parties and last minute they changed everything and tried a bait and switch... tried to say the numbers were on an 09' vehicle and for the 10' i wanted would be 5k more.. and this and that, and blame it on a sales guy.. and so forth.. i walked out....

going to just leave it up for now, private sale is always ideal and a private buyer will see the value. the car is paid for so it doesn't cost me anything to keep it... will just be sitting in the garage.

i get the Exige monday, driving it back from baltimore and stopping at my house in NC along the way...

Yeah that deal you were talking about with them before sounded like a no brainer, but truly sucks that they baited/switched you. Some things don't surprise me anymore. GLWS, your car priced that way is such a steal. If it were manual, you would have had my serious interest.

Someone's going to get a beautiful car at a great price. You'll sell it. It's just a reflection of what's going on in the real world. There just aren't as many buyers out there as there were before. Great time to be a buyer.

Your car is awesome but this is why it might be a slow sale:

now they call "we'll take 22,000 off the top of the white" so 63,620... but only 40k trade in on the cab.. comes to like.. 23 and change diff+TTT=25 and change.

my thoughts... the white is "new" now but in 2 years they are both used cars....just one a little older.. so would i be better off having an optioned the heck out 997.1 and wait till the 991 comes out.. or better off dropping another 25OTD to be in a 4 year newer car with warranty.... but when 991 comes out the 997.2 will probably be only worth slightly more than my 997.1 because of the options/etc.

only downside on the white is no sport chrono, which makes the PDK=eh.. and also buttons instead of paddles that are said to come in future.. but this car is hellova lot cheaper than any car that will come w/ "paddles"

...rennlister thoughts?
Given you paid less than your asking price why not drop the price a couple thousand and move it? You may think it costs you nothing but if you're smart the opportunity cost on $63K cash not working for you can be quite high.

That makes no sense. What the OP paid originally has no bearing on the current market. The car is a bargain as is.

what i paid, was based on the fact that i walked into a suffering dealer with CASH... if someone wants to walk to my house with a duffle bag of CASH, i will take slightly less, but thats not the case.. i have to listen excuses everyday and people wanting me to "owner finance" the car. and pay for ad's online and carfax reports on the car i know is perfect, and all of this on top of a market that has GONE UP.. my car is THE cheapest 997.2 in the country on any website.. so i feel the price is fair and i will leave the price as is,

for you to go and research and quote my listing, is unnecessary to say the least and shows VERY poor taste, when you sell your car, its not mine or anyone's business how much you ask and why, so please consider the same on other people's listings. i researched up and down and then priced my car below all competition so it is priced well, priced there for a reason, and is a VERY clean example. the only carrera cheaper than my car is a 997.1 which is a major stepdown (i have been there and owned that so i can fairly make that statement)

price is 65k

car is a steal at 65k

if you aren't interested, please move on.

What were you replacing it with (the dealer trade that fell through)?
