Bug Strikes
Has anyone else noticed how few bug strikes we get with these things? I've been so amazed to see how clean these cars stay after a session of bug smashing--the coefficient of drag must be such that we just don't kill bugs fast like we used to. Additionally, the side mirrors don't seem to deflect bugs into the side windows as much as they used to.

I kill plenty of bugs with the front bumper, mirrors and a few on the windshield. No bugs elsewhere, due to deflecting aero currents.

The areo shape of the 997 is excellent, but heavy bugs will give their life to the front bumper at speed.
Try State Highway 25. It is one of the best little-known drives in CA (running north between 101 and Interstate 5) from San Miguel to Hollister- very few cars lots of bugs. A great drive to break in a new car.

This dragonfly may have survived the 997's more oval headlamps. Caught this specimen during a run to Napa including the road to Lake Berryessa.

Want some real bugs Skip Ca drive head east take a trip thru lower LA (not In California) then head on east thru Miss. You can't put enough wax to slide them off there. They have Mosquitos as big as those dragonflies. They can stand flatfooted there and do a chicken
