Three Wheelin'
Years ago people used to rub tobacco (still in the little white cotton bags to roll your own) on windshields so they could see better. Being a 'technology boy' - I vote for windshield wipers.
My guess is that baby oil won't hurt as a solvent, but I'd use it just before washing the car so I'm not leaving a film that attracts dirt & scratches.

Baby oil removes tar on car paint
Baby oil removes the tar with very little "elbow grease." I use it on Viva Paper towels because they are durable, yet soft on the finish. And baby oil is cheaper than the auto store products. Amazing!

No baby oil on the Porsches, but we do use it on our stainless steel appliances. Takes all of the streaks from cleaning stuff out and makes it more resistant to fingerprints. Never would have thought of this, but we had a house cleaner from Poland who showed us this trick. Just go easy on the application.

Burning Brakes
When I raced bicycles, I was given a set of disc wheels by Steve Hed of HED (rip).
I loaned them to a friend and training partner for the Colorado State Championships and when he returned them they're was this slick coating on them. I asked what happened - he replied and I sht you not - "I rubbed furniture polish on them to make them faster".
Mthr fckr!!!
I never trusted the wheels or him again but thankfully the epoxies Hed used were resistant to Old English.
I still have the front and it's as true as day 1. Probably because I only used it one more time after that and the tri-spoke came out soon after.
