After all the research and posts, I pick up my new ride tomorrow :)
Finally felt the numbers might work out, so went to the dealer today to drive the car I've been eyeing, work up some numbers, and we managed to ink a deal.
They'll be detailing my new baby tomorrow morning, and I'll pick her up in the afternoon. Maybe early enough for a quick jaunt up to wine country, if time permits!
She's a 2006 C4 cab, Speed Yellow with black interior, with the console, seat belts, and dials also in Speed Yellow. Also, 19" black wheels w/ crest. Only 11,300 miles, and in pristine shape. Oh, and one other very nice option: The Porsche Sport Exhaust! (I can't believe 911's get ordered without this!)
I had posted a separate post about a concern I had with Range 4+ ignitions on the DME, but turns out my sales rep read the report wrong. There are only ignitions for Ranges 1-3 (and only 4 in Range 3), and nothing in Range 4 and up.
They're CPO'ing the car, so I'll be covered for anything for a couple years.
I don't have my own pics yet, so will post a few from the dealer's web site. Can't wait to get her home tomorrow! Driving my Jeep back from the dealer today, I kept reaching for the stick and wondering where all my power had gone! LOL.
Thanks for everybody's input on my other posts! It's good to be part of the P-car family again (I used to own a 1989 911 Targa). Here's my new ride:

Was that from MS in Walnut Creek? Please do follow-up with reports on your overall satisfaction with them, as I'm probably going with that dealer for my P-car purchase.
It would be much appreciated.
By the way, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice, dig the yellow (outside and inside). Congratulations!
I pulled the trigger too with a red 07 S coupe. Picked it up today and will post pics when whifey gets home with the camera tomorrow.
Hope you can sleep tonight. I will probably sleep in the car.

Thanks, everybody! I still can't believe the car is mine. And no, I probably won't sleep well tonight at all
@1BlinkGone...yep, bought it from Michael Stead Porsche in Walnut Creek. My sales rep was Phil Horta, and I can highly recommend both him and the dealership. They were more than willing to put it up on the rack last weekend so we could get the engine number off the stamp on the bottom. When I requested a DME printout via email earlier in the week, they did that, too, and offered to FAX it, but since I didn't have access to a FAX machine, they printed it out prior to my visit today. Before I drove it today, I noticed the right tail light lens was loose, so they got one of the service guys to fix it right then (it wasn't secured all the way after they had changed a bulb earlier). He also mentioned their service department was open on Saturdays, which I think isn't very common.
So all in all, I'm very satisfied with both Phil and the dealership, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. In fact, I'm so impressed with them, I will probably use them for all my service needs even though they're farther away than the other dealerships in my area. Besides, driving through San Ramon gives me an excuse to stop at my favorite pizza place for a pizza on the way home...Zachary's!

Cool! looks great! Service-wise and since you are open to a hop to the East Bay I must recommend Porsche of Fremont.
