Default Traded 997.1 for ... another 997.1

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to introduce lucky P-Car #13. As I stated in my last thread, I had recently purchased a 2006 Speed Yellow 997S, and I absolutely loved it! However, I really love red 911's, and I stumbled across this one, so #12 joined the ex-wive's club.

Like the last, this is a 2006 997S with the factory aerokit. However, the differences are as follows:

Guards Red/Black
Matching GR Painted Center Console
Matching GR Painted Hard Back Heated Sport Seats
Red Belts
Sport Chrono Plus
Sport Shift
PSE
Factory Spacers (but taken off for now with the Techarts until 19's back on)
CD Changer (no Nav)

This one has a little over 11k miles, CPO, and was bone stock when I picked it up a couple of weeks ago. I have since placed a few Ruf goodies on it, but just the cosmetics for now like mats, badges (RUF hood badge since photos), battery cover, 20" Techarts, and the red taillights I had on the Yellow. I've also swapped the original "Carrera S" script for the "911" script, but I obviously have a few other plans for it.

In the garage, but not yet installed are H&R springs and forged RG19 Champions (rear size 19 x 11.5).

My camera is horrible, and the sun was beating behind me in a few, so please excuse the orange tint and my attempt to adjust the picture as an amature at best.

Also, I've seen a few threads by color on here, but I can't seem to find one for red 997's. If one exists, I would greatly appreciate the link.

Looks great. It makes me miss my old Guards Red car... such a fantastic color for a 911.

Thanks Jerry. The nose is the factory aero nose which is more like the GT3 than the standard nose, but it did come from the factory that way.

Somebody likes bright colors on their 911's. (I'm with you!)

Looks good. Love the Aero. Just watch out for those driveways!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Pulled the clear bra off the front last night so I can start fresh. Looks like someone before me used a cleaner that completely destroyed the finish of the clear bra. Stuff came right off without any leftover residue. I'm guessing it was 3M, but not sure.

Yeah, I'm a fan of everything but the badges. I'm not sure what go-fast bits you intend on placing in your car, but I'd say that unless you have something substantial like engine internals from RUF, there's no need to advertise.

It reminds me of my wife's 2.5 boxster when we first bought it. Beautiful condition, great color combo and options, but the PO thought it'd be nice to put an "S" badge on the trunk lid and batwing, and paint the calipers red. It was a poseur move on an otherwise fine car. The minute we got home, out came the dental floss...

As someone said to me at my recent DE....the only true 911 is a red one.

All the best. Looks great.
