I want to get the 9500ci remote system installed in the GT3 but am not up to doing the job myself. Anyone know of a New England installer who knows Porsche's? There are a bunch of installers listed on Escort's Web site but most of them are stereo/electronics shops and I'm not sure I would trust my car to them. The site also listed Herb Chambers Porsche in Boston, but Chambers told me they no longer do it.

I put mine in myself.

After 1 year of use, these are my opinions:
To have someone install this + the cost of the unit will run @ $3,000. Worth it - I would say no. A bad installer could really screw things up.
I did mine for @ $700 + my own labor. I did it in the winter, so I had plenty of time to make it work and endure the learning curve.
Does the unit work well - yes.
In retrospect, I think a better way to go is:
Use the 9500ci portable unit and hardwire it near the mirror. Memeber EDGY did this with his V1. There are now companies that make custom brackets that will allow you mount the unit right near the rear veiw mirror.
Easier, cheaper, and wil work even better.
The remote unit is a neat idea - but not worth the $ and potential issues if you can't do the install yourself.
