Have been using the PCM bluetooth interface but am considerong the I phone 4. Are you I Phone users happy with the 977.2 PCM/I Phone interface...has to be via the provided cable...no? Thanks

Works great, but you need to order the PCM 3.0 - "3G" iPod & iPhone Interface Cable from Suncoast. The standard iPod cable that comes with the 997.2 will not charge the iPhone. The new cable plugs into both the iPod & USB ports of the Universal Audio Interface. Also, when you plug in your iPhone 4 it displays a message as shown in the photo. Ignore this, everything works fine including Bluetooth.
It's a sweet phone, I stood in line for over 8 hours on launch day for my iPhone 4.

Thanks! Apart from charging...if Bluetooth connection is available...why is the cable necessary? Does the phone hideaway in the console and all is managed through the PCM?

no need for cable if just using bluetooth/voice. i keep mine on the seat in my pocket or wherever, and keep an iPod connected in the console.
