That is crazy. I just got my policy in May. Cant believe they increased it so much.
My car had 11k miles and still had one month left on factory warranty at the time.
They must be getting hit with major repair bills or maybe had a few IMS failures.
My warranty just expired and I went with EasyCare. Picked it over Fidelity because Fidelity does not cover airbags and EC also covers wheels and tires. Car has six airbags and if there is a fault with the system I bet it would run into big $$$ to trace and repair the problem.
Hmmm....I have Fidelity and that's exactly what i'm dealing with now, airbag fault light that can't be cleared. Turns out to be an open circuit on the passenger side. The repair has been approved by Fidelity. I have the platinum plan which is nearly identical to the factory warranty. Three years/36,000 miles cost me $1,650.
