Default need key fob help

I'm trading my 997.1 keyfob/housing for the black and chome 997.2 keyfob/housing.

I traded the blade and the circuit board from the old to the new. The locking and unlocking function works from far away but the car will not start. I traded back to the original keyfob/housing. It works again.

What am I doing wrong? do I also need to transfer this little block next to the battery? it's glued in place. any advice on that?

thanks

thanks! that worked. it was a bit destructive to the old key fob/housing trying to get the glued-in "large black grain of rice". I eventually got it out and put it in the new key and everything works perfectly.

Can you share how you went about getting the black/chrome key case? I'm interested, thanks.
