I would not consider a white carerra feminine but as an ideal colour for a 997 - no I don't think so.

White cars can be stunning - and I have a nice white 1994 Mercedes E220 Coupe but the problem with white is that it can tend to hide and blur all the nice curves and styling lines a car can have. Its no accident many race cars are white since the colour hides many dings and scratches.

The 997 is just one big set of curves so darker colours accentuate the visual impression of these - obviously black does this best.

Uhh, no. I don't think anything outside of hot pink is "feminine"...

I DO agree about darker colors (or anything darker than white) brings out the lines better.

Feminine?!? Hell, no! White is Germany's racing color. This car White/Nat Brown has received nothing but compliments from car guys.

White does not show lines? What do you think of this side shot?

Kills bugs in a masculine way:

More curves (the car a$$ not the color):

I had the same thoughts when I ordered my C4S and did end up ordering it in Basalt Black instead. In my opinion (and it is just an opinion), Carrera White looks awesome on a GT3, GT2 or a Turbo but not on a regular Carrera.

There are exceptions though.

1. You live in a warm climate.
2. You get it with black wheels and an aerokit.

Carrera white is classy & not feminine.

Cream white is actually a light brown-PINK color that is undoubtedly feminine.

General stereotypes:

White: Clean/Classy
Black (and other very dark colors): Serious
Red, Blue, Yellow: Flashy, hey look at me.

I thought this about white too when I was looking for my current car - I even pooh-poohed one that my ex showed me that was white.

However, I've since come around (though I love my Slate Grey too).

I think my next one will be white with natural brown inside like Tony's
