Rough downshift from 2 to 1 in sport automatic mode happens approx. 1/3 of the time. Have had all software updates but no significant improvement. But if I turn off the airconditioner the abrupt shifts occur less violently and frequently. Dealer has no explanation. Anyone else experience this odd behaviour? Any solutions? Car is 2009 4S with 10k km's.

 

You could trade it in for a manual transmission model. Your problems will be over, the car will be lighter and less expensive, and you'll have more fun driving it.

 

Same experience. Initially it didn't have this issue but I believe it is part of the PDK reacting to my type of driving.

 

I think it's a reaction to driving styles, but not really sure. I have encountered it as well, but didn't pay much attention to it.
