I use the standard P-car fob and have my LoJack proximity transmitter recessed into the back. Compact with no weight and no rattles.

Yup! Agreed. Also keeps key from falling out of pocket due to friction the case provides. You can stuff a $50 or CC in there for emergencies too, mine has a little zipper compartment. Did you mention the padding effect Steve? Helps keep key buttons from getting pressed unintentionally as long as it is the ONLY key in the pouch. Funny how we much can analyze a key chain!?

I use the AmFlo keyring from this site. You can get one in Titanium with Tritium Glow in the Dark feature for $125 or one like mine for $7.

My Cayenne came with a $95 exclusive "key pouch interior color leather". I'm sure that a 911 key would fit great but why a dealer ordered it for a Cayenne with it's key fob is beyind me. dave

..because it was one of the cheapest options available for a Porsche. I passed on it myself.

I don't have a key ring. The bloody thing is too big to being with. However, this topic is great indication of just how lovely our cars are-we have no major issues to discuss.

I can't speak for Steve but I'm in love with these two. Was at a dinner and movie last night with both.

The 2nd one - leather pouch - Suncoast now has them for about $50. The leather seems really durable - wish I had a jacket made out of that it.

The only downside is the bulk, but the key is already bulky. This pouch is a lot like the "$95" car version - don't think that is available anymore. I saw one on ebay and it went for $70 I think. I don't think it had the side slot, so it may have shed a little bulk, but I'm used to this one now. If it got trashed up, I'd get another one like it.

And it also does have the benefit of reducing unintended button presses. Weighs enough to hang without jangling, etc. while driving.

I thought going that route and then decided against. The idea of hanging a fob off of the key with a porsche crest on it, when the key has the crest already, seems totally redundant and adds needless bulk to my pocket.

The only thing I might consider is a Germany style leather pouch to keep the key in, with the spring loaded opening .. if I wanted to protect the key. For now, just the key with nothing works just fine... no dangle is a good thing.

I think the exclusive pouch would be nice for the 911 owner that has an interior color other than black since it's made from the same material. Here's my black pouch and the incompatible Cayenne fob. BTW, I really like the fob and carry it naked. Very comfortable in the pocket IMO. dave
