Default Today's 997.2 service observations

I used dealership services to perform an oil change and brake system flush/fill.
Because I now have 33k+ miles in one year, my car was the first 997.2 to have the brake system serviced by that dealership. I asked questions concerning clutch bleed and anti-lock brake circuit flushing. The 997.2 does not have a purge nipple on the clutch housing necessitating use of a special tool installed to bleed because the new system has a fluid return line. The ABS system does not require an eletronic trigger to open that circuit for flushing. I just thought that those with newer cars that perform their own maintenance would like to know when looking for the clutch nipple that is present on 997.1 cars or are considering purchasing a Durametric tool to activate the ABS for flushing.

Thanks for the heads up! Porsche is constantly making improvements. Some of them are not friendly for the shade tree mechanics.

Great info. Thanks ! Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how we would flush out the old clutch line fluid since there is no nipple at the slave? Maybe we just remove the old fluid from the reservoir, put in fresh fluid pump and the clutch 20 times or so, and perhaps repeat ? Then flush for brake lines per previous posts ?

Would you mind telling us what that service cost? I haven't had anything done by the dealer yet on my new-to-me '06. Thanks--

Love you have put that many miles on your car. I split the 30K I drive between an Accord and my 07 911 S (70/30%), . Keep us up to date as you push 100K on your car. I would have attempted to put all the miles on 911, but risk bad weather with ice and snow and me having to go to work no matter what. Am in the healthcare world.
