Todd, pictures look great. As always, had a great time and hope you enjoyed yourself too. Just a reminder, NCR region is holding another autocross on the 12th, and CVR is holding one on the 13th. I'll be in attendance at both (hopefully). Look forward to seeing everyone there.

You'll get more rock chips on the highway than at a autocross.

You're right, but the tape was for cone scuff marks, not rocks

...now that I have arrived home in one piece, I feel it's necessary to smack talk. True men auto-cross on 10 psi with a screw in their tire. Hey Todd, do you have a tire pressure gauge for sale?

What happened? Sounds like some fun occurred after I left.

Glad you made it home safely, now get online with Tirerack. I want to see those new wheels on you ride.

Suicidal cones - they just jump out in front of us out of no where.

that`s a common misconception.

my hoosiers got outer walls eaten up. i am quite pissed as I now know why I could not get faster than 60 sec and why I was spinning and I am a total idiot for not noticing this **** while I was there. Lazyness! If I would chulk my tires after each run I would see but it was hot and I preferred to sit inside under max AC flow.

Very odd thing as it was 4th event on these tires and entire suspension setup was pretty much the same. Something is wrong nevertheless and more $k will be required again... Plus tires will have to be remounted as outer edges are gone.

Do not hurry with tires selection. It is expensive and you need to get it right.
What were you running?

It was nice to finally get a chance to meet you.

I know a lot of people carry large spray bottles and mist their wheels between runs, which I hear does a great job of cooling them. You can also pick up an infrared temperature guns, to be able to check the temp of your rubber to make sure you aren't in risk of damaging them.

temperature control is for keeping pressure within limits, damage I got was not really temperature related. does not seem like it at least.

I'll be there again in July, looking forward to hanging out again. You think you were tired at the movie, yesterday Alex came over and we waxed his C4, now I'm in the middle of claying, then waxing my wife's car. It's a sauna in the garage, everyday's car related love for me. I need a break before my 3,000 mile CAB road trip Friday.
