Check out the website I just found!

You can input your own text to create whatever wording you wish for your Porsche:

http://www.porschestripes.com/decals.html

AND...they do offer the Orange so I may just go ahead and start this project!

My car came from the factory with the side stripes. The original owner specced them as part of the build. For that reason alone I'd probably never remove mine. Once removed I could never go back to the original "factory installed" scripts..

Here is what I was thinking, but instead of black (this car looks like a Mexico 997) I'll do silver. Maritime being darker I think it needs the lighter side stripe & for less than $300 I can't really go wrong?

I saw that pic on the ki website. Pretty sure that car is Maritime. If it was Mexico it would look much lighter, like my car. Take another look. Mexico and Riviera are damn near the same color.

I think it looks real nice with the black. Would probably look good in silver also, but I think my vote may go with the black for your Maritime car.

She's done and I love it!!!!
One thing I noticed, is how the C matches the contour of the rear side widows, it's all part of the flow.

I did indeed get my script installed...here's photos! I've since added clear side markers but still haven't done the mirrors in Orange yet.

Looks awesome!
The decals give an on track / racing heritage edge to the Carerras. The name Carerra alone, represents a track in Mexico that Porsche dominated for years!!
Targa is named after a track in Sicily that Porsche also dominated.

Nice! And the calipers naturally compliment the speed yellow. Where you located, that looks like Westchester to me.

Ehhh..., I don't know guys. They kind of look like tattoos to me. Why label the car what it already is? Could also be like a bumper sticker on a Rolls Royce.

The only way I'd consider putting one on (one that I really liked) would be if it were absolutely guaranteed no problem taking them off in terms of fading paint or damaged clearcoat.

OTOH, I'm in favor of whichever mods make owners HAPPY!

Thanks. Good guess. Taken last winter on the Palisades Pkwy at a Hudson River overlook.
