I had a chance to test drive a 2010 PSE 911 S, 6 speed When you start the car and at idle the sound is deeper and little nicer with PSE on but when driving and windows closed , I did not see a big difference


I thought the PSE when ON will be louder and more distinctive in the normal rev range but it did not seem that way, it was subtle i thought and i was surprised at the mellowness

What was your impression on the 997.2 PSE?

 

Not as impressive as on my 06S, but, love it anyway. my 09 is quieter on the inside with windows closed.

 

When you get it above 5K rpm you might change your mind.

It is quieter at slow speeds but when you get on it, everything changes (except your warranty).

I added mine after the fact and am pleased with it.

 

so add the center muffler bypass.

 

Does the 997.2 PSE have that infuriating cut out that turns closes the flap between 45-75 automatically? If so... that might explain why the sound mellowed so much when driving around with the windows closed.

Completely different animal, I know, but I love the PSE on my 997.1.

 

I love my PSE on my 997.2 C2S especially with the windows rolled down. With the windows up, it is difficult to hear the PSE. In fact, I rarely even listen to the radio or CD's.

 

Factory 997.2 PSE still has the cutout!!

 

Is your impression compared to 997.1 PSE, or in general vs. other sports exhausts?

 

When you close the windows, the sound deadening keeps the noise out. Has nothing about being a quieter exhaust. Thank all the Lawyers and Doctors and wives who complain about cabin noise and the exhaust drone while talking on their phones or listening to classical music when compared with their Benz's and Beemers they've had.

 

Added mine after delivery. Installed with ash tray switch so no cut off. It was quiet when it was first installed but has gotten louder the more I drive it.

997.1 unplugged sounded even better and def louder
