Default Coolant Capacity in 997 S

Anyone know what's the coolant capacity of the 997 Carrera S? My car has close to 60,000 km and it's almost 4.5 yrs old. I think it's time for a coolant change. I just need to know how much Porsche coolant I will need for the job. Thanks in advance.

My owners manual has that information. Approx. 8.45 gallons or 32 liters. However, the ratio of coolant to water needs to be determined by your protection needs. Of course, you know that Porsche considers the coolant to be a lifetime fill--no periodic replacement is needed for the life of the engine.

I hear people who track the car hard change the coolant.

For most of us mortals, no need to change it until your coolant reservoir fails or you spring a leak. Then see :

FWIW, like Porsche's oil recco: only use the Porsche coolant. "They know more than we do."
