How much oil do you add to your 997.2?

1 quart every 1100 miles, and I have the dealer fill it up to keep track of my car's oil usage history.

I would vote but the question is a little narrow as I've put 1 litre in over 16,000 miles

'09 C2S with 31K miles in 10 months ownership. Oil consumption accurately monitored. Added 1/2 qt. on one instance only between oil changes perhaps due to amount of oil added at change. Various dealerships performed the oil changes and I didn't monitor the initial amount of oil but I've started. Last change performed by dealership in Huntsville, AL with 8.4 quarts.

These cars should be serviced every 10 k miles (15 k kilometers), or annually whichever comes first, at which time they will be refilled with oil.
Assume yours would comply with the first category ?

I have 7500 miles and have added about 3/4 quart in total. I did an oil change at 2k, so I'd say 3/4 quart in 5500 miles. Just did my spring oil change at 7500, so we'll see moving ahead. Very vigorous use from April through November, stored in the winter.

In the UK the service interval is 20k (miles) or 2 years...for the gen2 997, but based upon a 10k service interval (why is it different in the US?) then yes mine would be in the first category.

I added 3.5 quarts the first 2500 miles. Since changing my oil at 2500 miles, the oil consumption has improved dramatically. I've gone nearly 1,000 miles and the oil level is still at the full mark, some of these miles include spirited driving in a rally. I'm feeling better about bringing only one quart to the New Hampshire Ramble next weekend.

added no oil <2,500. oil change at 2,500. now at 8,500 have added 3 quarts.

ive gotten to the point, i keep a Qt in the frunk where the tool kit is.... when the light comes on "oil low" i add the full qt and it tops it up perfectly... i hated adding/checking/adding/checking... oil light on seems to be exactly 1qt low as everytime i put it in im either full or 1 bar blinking.

yep that's me ^ just back from Autozone with that 5/$30 special. Should hold me for a year or two.

sadly mine will only last me maybe 3 months give or take (put about 25k on a year)

Changed the oil @ 2500 miles and was one bar down at the time.
Now at 3900 miles and used .2 quarts (I keep it at one bar from full).
