5mm(P-dealer) or 7mm(H&R) spacers?
Just saw a c4 with the same stock mags as my c2, I believe the mags are called carrera IV. They re 18 in. I love my car and the mags but the c4 which has an 11 in. wheel (295's tire) just looked better! I have 265's on 10.5 in.
Can i get that look just by adding spacers? and the OE at porsche is 560$(pair) for 5mm... and a shop that sells H&R quoted me 155$ but they were 7mm. Do they both fit my car? My car has stock suspension/ no pasm and im not planning to lower it for now, but i will be tracking it! Will the tires rub, if the spacer is too wide, in heavy cornering? I was planning to just buy the rear cause it really looks like it could use them. Thanks

will not rub with 7mm. H&R is quality too.

Do you really want to mess with spacers when the gain is merely 5mm or 7mm? That's really nothing to even notice--truly. A bulging sidewall can be out more than 5-7mm. I never understood why anyone would spend that kind of money for such a small gain. If you needed it to clear the brakes--that's something else entirely.

I put Porsche 5mm on the front and 18mm H and R spacers on the rear...omg, what a difference it makes in the overall stance and look of the car. Completely transformed it to almost C4 aesthetics.
I did the whole thing for about $400.00 installed. So worth it!
And honestly, the car feels exactly the same, just looks beefier-stouter...

Just upgrade your wheels, those just do NOT look right on 997!

Realize that 5mm is about 1/5 of an inch. I don't think photos could even show you what 1/5" of spacing looks like. I've had several Porsches, tracked them all, never wanted spacers for the street or track. My track wheels all have aggressive offsets.

I'm running the Carrera Sport wheels and just bought 7mm fronts and 15mm rears from RSS. They will be installed Saturday if you can wait till then as I'm taking detailed photos of before and after.

I went with H&R 7mm front and 15mm rear, makes a significant difference on my '09 C2S CAB. I had the OEM 5mm spacers on my '07 C4S CAB, don't waste the money, 5mm is not worth it.
The photos show the difference pretty well, especially the 15mm on the rear of the '09 vs. the 5mm on the rear of the '07.
