Default P0028 Bank 2 valve lift control final

My car has been sitting for 5 months for winter.
I just removed a supercharger set-up from my car and had the DME reprogrammed back to stock tune.Started it up and this code popped up....
P0028
Bank 2 valve lift control final

I did a search and couldn't find any info.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks,

Stacy

google gives this - may be relevant, even if it`s subaru? all those codes are unified these days. check all the wiring - may be you simply tore that connection to solenoid?

renntech folks suggest incorrect flash version? See last post:

Yeah read that.....all wires are OK.
I also read that it could possibly be in the re-tuning.

BUT found this interesting...

if you are sure you have original stock ecu flash and all injectors/solenoids are fine - disconnect battery for 10 min and try again - will it throw new code or not?

Listen to the engine - does it sound/vibrate just as before? stock ecu throws more codes than any aftermarket flash - it`s a fact.

Idles SMOOTH...no vibrations at all.....I tried to clear the code with my Durametric and it came back.
Injectors came out of a running car.
My fuel is 5 months old BUT can't see that as the problem that would throw this code...
I am going to try and disconnect the battery again.....

worst what could happen is if you got dirt inside somehow and it got stuck somewhere but any crap in fuel line would be immediately noticed as engine would not run normal. if it`s not knocking and sounds perfect as before - most likely everything should be fine. when valves have issues - you can always hear that right away.
but who knows. 997 has a very elaborate sensors system and if it throws a code - there is a reason for it most likely.

if you flash with softronic - call them. or vividracing. they probably should know something about those codes first hands if it is in any way related to new flash.

I flashed my softronic back to stock once and it did not give me codes but it proabably may not be the same with what you did...

Forgot to plug in the solenoid down by the spark plugs that controls the valve lift.
