Flat Tire?

I took a drive today to visit family and all was great upon arrival. However, as soon as I began to leave, i get a notice and error that says "flat tyre". The TPMS for thr right rear is -7 than the other tires. I couldn't find the source so I will take it to the dealr tomorrow to find out if it is really an issue. I purchased the tire and rim insurance so it should pay for itself in this visit alone.
Could the device just be malfunctioning?

Most likely the TPMS is correct. Often times those small holes are hard to find.
When I purchased my additional warranty (100,000 miles, ten years) it came with wheel and tire insurance.

Don't understand... r u saying that TPMS is reporting -7 PSI/flat tire but the tire isn't? It is visibly low? and have you checked Tire pressure with your own gauge?
Mine was very accurate and quick to report a flat when I got one!

I got that as well - any damage of any sort is covered. It was about $700 so two tires or a wheel and you are at least even. Of course for me that sort of stuff is like an umbrella - if I have one, it won't rain. ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
If the tire is really not flat/low (using a guage that you carry with you), then the TPMS sensor must be broken.

problems with that insurance is they will want to patch your tire not replace..the other problem is the insurance companies go out of business every other day...good luck

I am not really worried about them going out of business and if so then I cant do anything about that. Porsche doesnt allow tires to be patched, at least according to my delears here in my area so I dont have to worry about that mishap.

If the puncture is small and the patch properly done, it's not going to effect the reliability or speed rating, etc, of the tire. If you do have it replaced, you'd have to replace both rear tires to be safe (treadwear needs to match).

The TPMS reported the tire low but it doesnt look low at all. TPMS and the gauge both reported it being low so I am on my way to the dealer. The tire itself looks normal and not low at all.

This is not true. If Porsche dictates all tires must be replaced, they are replaced--not fixed. Since I got the insurance through the Porsche dealer they can't have it both ways.
