I have been shopping for an 05 S or an 06 S coupe. If I find the right deal on an 05 should I,in your opinion,buy it or continue searching for an 06? What are the main differences between the two? Assuming purchase is from an individual with no warranty and I am looking for a sub 15K mile car. Thanks!

Get an '06 car with CPO warranty to have less headache. I got '06 car what was spotless and yet still already used dealership services twice to cover some warranted issues. '06 cars made after June will have updated PCM electronics and single row IMS bearing that should be more reliable.

IMHO TPMS only gives you headache. It may be nice to have it to see if you got a flat on a road but for actual pressure monitoring it is quite useless not to say more. At least I never saw anybody who would have it working consistently and to match actual manual pressure gauge.

Not sure where you get the idea it's worthless...quite the contrary
It does read 3 psi low , all around, but if you can add 3 to each corner, it is dead on.
No headache, unless you think being notified of a slow leak, or reminded just how much pressure falls or rises with the outside temp is a headache.
In my one encounter with a high speed flat, it was better to be told that my pressure was gone, than to wonder what was happening.
One of my favorite features of the car, and worth every cent.

The 06 models are less problematic than the first year cars. You will thank me later. Issues like the PCM maturing, engine maturing, suspension assembly issues with the MY05, and myriad other bugs have told me to warn others of the MY05 problems.
TPMS--I love it on my MY06 car. It works great.

Get an 06, unless you find an 05 CPO which is probably impossible.
TPMS is great! Saved me big while tracking on Pacific raceway.

At least 3 improvements beginning with the '06 MY:
1) 'Smart' front passenger airbag;
2) Re-designed sunroof wind deflector which eliminates boominess, and in-cab turbulence when open (as in the '05)'
3) TPMS.
