The car has the universal audio interface.

Here is something to try.
Plug this into the USB buss and plug your sat receiver to it.
This provides a audio plug to USB connector. I have no Idea how it will sound.

Not (read Not cheap nor easy). The XM radio bit is the tricky part. Assuming you want the factory PCM integration of a PCM3 997.2 car.

The '09 system is completely integrated. None of the standard aftermarkets (Dension, NavTV, etc) will work with the '09 systems. You're screwed.

Either fork over your wallet to a Porsche dealer to have the entire PCM stack replaced with the modules included (insane money), or go completely aftermarket, taking out the entire system, or live with cheesy fm modulation for ipod. Bummer.

THere is no retro for Sat radio and no one makes one which works through the PCM 3.0. The bluetooth is an easy add, any dealer can do it and Porsche makes the retro kit.

Updates..Nav-TV does offer a PCM 3.0 Sirus module however it seems to work only with certain versions of PCM 3.0 (ones without NAV) and you have to check which version your car has thru a screen before ordering otherwise you will order it and install it to have it not work. I just had my dealer try it and they stopped at the step where the instructions said DO NOT INSTALL NON Compatible with this ver PCM 3.0 when they tried to install it and checked the PCM versions. Porsche tech even checked with NAV-TV and its affirm..haven't yet reached full operability with PCM 3.0 and the way Porsche is guarding the enable codes may never...talked to the tech and he said he tried quite a few ways to re-code the car and get PCM to force enable the Sirius unit and it would error everytime saying NO PCM detected even with the new Sirius PCM module from Nav Tech. Talking to him he says Sat radio is part of the new PCM 3.0 radios and wired into its own seperate part of the radios so it makes it difficult to add on afterwise...and since Porsche will NOT unlock the codes or release them for cars NOT built with Sat and PCM 3.0 off the factory floor it looks like 3 yrs out (2009+) there still are NO good options for this. He says Porsche is always about 2-4 yrs behind A/V stuff in their cars and get beat by everyone else before they are like hey that's a good idea (i.e. updated PCM 3.0 vs PCM 2.0)

It just sucks....meanwhile my A7 has google integrated NAV and Hi Res maps, allows me to navigate from a saved address on my phone (contacts), is its own mobile hotspot, and has a 40 gig harddrive which I can upload music to using SD AND has Sat radio and Ipod by just checking the Audi MMI option on the order sheet! My previous BMW could upload CDC's straight into the NAV and also store stuff on a 40 gig HD...Porsche get with it!
