Default LED Replacement Costs

Talking to my salesman today he mentioned that if and when an LED fails on the taillight assembly--guess what you replace? Yep--the entire assembly. Ca-ching!

I think I'll just stick to my antique light bulbs...

I was told that they had a failure in a Mercedes with the same type LED lights--thankfully, it was under warranty. But imagine what this would be for you without a warranty!! ($538 each rear).

There's always the random potential for an LED light to fail from some manufacturing fault. But they won't wear out. Not in your lifetime. 99.9% should last forever. If you are the .01% unlucky then yup, you're out some dough.

No kidding! Same for instrument clusters. You know what happens when one of the lights goes out on your dashboard? You replace the entire thing.
