Just to get some more ideas, we had HRE P43 wheels in brushed silver our 2009 Carrera S in the same color. It's not as aggressive as black, but the contrast was nice. Here are a few photos:

Racing green and black? No.

Racing green and brushed aluminum? Yes.

Fiske, HRE, etc.

Hey Hulk...seems like we have similar decisions. I ALMOST did the same thing but have held back. Like the brushed silver approach and maybe when all this winter stuff goes away. But till then keeping it stock as I did is my suggestion. BTW see anything familiar? LOL

Yeah, the new Sport Classic looks like a test mule.

I will give you this much: Any modifications to a factory Porsche makes it ugly. The look of the original is always the way to go. However, one has to fight the urge to make your car different. The wheels are pretty much the only mod that is harmless to the car itself, not always its looks. Also easily reversible. For the winter I got this set bellow. Looks OK, IMO. But I cant wait to have my original back on. They are much nicer. Then again, if I get that ducktail, rear bumper and the exhaust tips from the new Sport Classic, my black rims will start to make more sense.

BTW, fat chrome lips SCREAM aftermarket.

It's all a matter of one's taste, but for me I do like black rims on certain colors. The '07 GT3 RS combos for example (orange or bright green or white) look great. I'd go with black rims on red as well or even black on black for a super mean look. But black rims on other dark body colors generally don't work for me.

IMHO? If the aftermarket wheels can't fit these (or similar) don't buy them. Yeah, it's kinda stupid/stubborn on my part but, that's a huge ego on the part of certain mfgrs to think they can resize the hub hole just so they eliminate the acclaimed Porsche logo!
